My mechanic will finally get around to putting a new clutch/torque limiter in my Allis 7040. I am to purchase the parts. As I have never worked on this machine, exactly what will I need to order? Once we have it apart,I don't want to have missed something that would hold up the reassembly. Is it a pretty straight forward parts list or are there different part options? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Dan

At a minimum, the torque limiter disc, friction plate, belleville spring, rear crankshaft seal & sleeve, and transmission input seal. The flywheel should be machined to depth spec of .170" for proper spring pressure. WHICH transmission is it ?????

I didn't know there were different transmissions that year. I believe it to be a powershift .I want to say it has 5 gears with hi
and low, so a 10 speed. It has a fast-slow lever on the side(never was able to move the lever)so would that be make it a 20 speed?
Transmission shift lever has broken also about 4 inches from floor.I can see where the shifter went in a sleeve and held with a
pin.I tried to drill out the sleeve, but no luck. I spot welded it and it worked until my poor welding skills showed up. How is the
shift rod attached to the transmission? My son is going to stick weld it this time. I hate to give up on this old tractor because
it really fits my needs. Thanks again

20-speed POWER DIRECTOR transmission. Two buttons on the floor are the on-the-go shift. Power Shift has 6-speeds and then Hi/Low range for a total of 12 speeds. Power Shift was an option.

Split the 7040. was able to order all parts except the belleville spring/plate. Does anyone know where I could find one? Thanks

****** More specific please. The belleville spring COULD be reused. You need the wear plate/pressure plate too ?? AGCO doesn't have any ??? I just did an 8050 in April and AGCO had those parts then.

I was able to order all the other parts at tractor joes. The belleville spring was was in bad shape and didn't want to re use
it.Can't find a parts dealer who has one.
