303 Baler Spindle

I think they must only be guaranteed for 70 years. Baler laying in a field of windrows, tire fell off. Might anyone know where a fella could find one quick?

Thanks much.

There are dealerships and parts stores that have those weld a spindles. Cut the old piece out and weld a brand new shaft in.

I second the idea to cut off and get weld-on spindles. They're available everywhere. If you
happen to be in Canada I've had great luck with these folks (see link).

You should be able to find a spindle & hub pair that will match your existing rim pattern, or
possibly even a spindle that will work with your your existing hub (though you probably want
to replace bearings as well, and it's often cheaper to buy a hub that includes all new
bearings & seals than buy the individual bearings & seals.

Worked for me with the spindle on my 442 baler. As with all square balers, hauling wagons is
hard on the spindles/axles due to the offset load - especially the pickup side, and
especially in hilly/rough country. Just be sure to weld it well - a gusset or two wouldn't go
amiss.
