Allis B seat color confusion

OK. So whenever I see Allis B or C tractors, restored or not, the majority have black cushion seats. An older friend of mine, who has farmed his entire life with Allis Chalmers, says that the seat cushion was orange out of the factory, and even has an original B with the orange seat cushion. Was it always orange? Did they change the color at some point of production to black?

Mine is black, now it may have been recovered before my dad bought it, I inherited from him.

This would have been 65 years ago but neighbor had one and seat was black. I remember because it was unusual being that wide to our Farmal, Ford and John Deere. Later hebought a McCormick 10-20 to go with it, Then moth got traded off for a pair of 8N Fords.

I don't remember ever seeing an orange seat cushion. I have a black cushion redone at a local upholstery shop. Any new seats my dad's dealership sold were covered with a green fabric similar to tarps.
