b rear wheel nut

haveing trouble really bearing down on rear wheel nuts with the pipe wrench and pipe i have ,do they sell socket or wrench that fits
nut or is there any tricks to doing it wirh a pipe wrench ive had best luck with small pipe wrench and pipe but cant get recomended 600lb torque so far.?

I do not know if you can buy a socket to fit. You should be able to find an open end wrench that will fit. I personally would just make a wrench from 1/2 steel. A socket could also be made with out too much trouble. If you do not trust a pipe wrench maybe a large monkey wrench or crescent wrench would be more to your liking?

I would think one can find one. I have sockets all the way up to 2-3/4 inch and I have seen a good bit bigger but there not cheap

Its not a six or twelve point nut. Not saying there isn't a socket out there but I expect they are few and far between and he could be a long time finding one. I would take the nut off and take it to a machine/fab shop and have them cut a wrench to fit out of plate thicker than the nut. If one buys a socket (3/4 0r 1" drive in this case) with an opening larger and deeper than the axle protrusion from the nut, the socket can be welded to the plate to make a socket (instead of having a handle included on the cutout plate wrench head). I have done that to get sockets to fit special nuts in the past.

What does it measure across flats ?

If you opt to take it to a machinist / machine shop, rather than making a specific socket, why not have them make the existing nut into a hex of common size.

Shouldn't be too hard of a task for a competent machinist.

If you ask around someone can lend you a bigger pipe wrench, I used one that has a 4' long handle (used for big plumbing). If instead you wish to buy a six point nut go to a shop where they rebuild big truck transmissions and differentials. It is the same size as what is used for many yokes attaching to drive lines on big rigs.

Years ago i bought a 36 inch pipe wrench and 30 inch cresent wrench from Harbor Freight... Make in china, but low cost....... That is what i use with a 2 inch pipe, 3 ft long slide over the handle.

after looking at the one picture of a tire and rim i see my problem, my nut is set back in the rim a good 4 or 5 inches and the pipe wrench is at a angle comeing out of the rim, when i put a pipe wrench on it ,it slips off. the wrench would work for me with the offset but kind of pricey. i have a set of 1 inch drive socketw and ratchet but none of the sockets fit maybe ill weld an cutout on the bigest socket. lots of good info though.

If you remove the wheel with the tire from the center disc you can put a wrench on at right angles.

also note sides are not flat, they are tapered.

Remove the wheel and get one of H F cheap 24 adjustable wrenches and a 3 cheater, 200# at 3.

If you have ripped up the sides of the nut using the pipe wrench, it is now a pipe wrench nut forever. And as noted, the only way to get on it is to take the rim (the part with the tire) off the wheel, so you can get the wrench on square.
And do not bother with the offset head pipe wrench, unless you want to use a 5 cheater and 2 pea please, one to hold the wrench.

I solved this problem eventually by replacing the factory nuts with large hex nuts and using a retreading die on the shaft where the previous owner had damaged the threads with his pipe wrench.
