clutch 3 pt. adjustment, on a b, picture?

has anyone actually adjusted the 3 clutch points directly under the b model ac? no one seems to know the wrench size or have a picture of this close area. i cant orient myself to what isee and a picture would sure help, but if this adjustment is so rare ill just live with a jumpy clutch. this forum has been a great help

I've never adjusted them but I may have a pressure plate laying around out of a C that I could maybe check to see what size the adjustment bolts are

obert,

Looks like at least four different clutches were used on the B's. 3 diffrent Rockfords, in 8-1/2" & 9", and an Atwood.

As far as wrench size, don't know for sure. May be different between the different clutches. Probably gonna need at least two wrenches, one for the lock nut and another for the adjusting bolt. Probably something like 1/2" & 9/16". Just a WAG. Sometimes the adjusting bolt is a slotted for a screwdriver.

boy a picture of one even out of the tractor would be helpful , looking thru that little opening i have a hard time recognizing what has been described. appreciate your time

Here is a picture of a B pressure plate. The three finger levers are what you adjust. As posted you will need to figure out the wrench sizes for your plate as different hex sizes were used as well as some had slotted heads and some were Allen type heads. Also some have the adjusting screws at the throwout bearing end of the levers.

Do you have a manual? There is a copy of the Allis Chalmers Manual you can download at this link: Allis Chalmers G, B, C, CA Shop Manual . The B&C section will have the clutch adjusting info, if you don't have a copy.

Here is a link to an old post about doing this: https://forums.yesterdaystractors.com/viewtopic.php?t=1270909
