It looks as though i have a seal leak on passenger side drive shaft, hasnt affected my brakes yet but more oily on that side than the drivers side. not going to change seal but what is the thickest lubricant i can put in transmission that will not harm things, i dont suppose there is an additive to help seal a seal leak? is there a way to ad enough fluid but stay under the shaft seal ,on 8ns you removed a bolt and it told you how not to overfill.

If it has hydraulics you don't want a thick fluid as the transmission/differential is the reservoir for the hydraulic pump. A 20 weight oil or tractor lube a universal gear/hydraulic oil works. If no hydraulics get Thick gear oil. I think I saw something that was a 90/140 in Tractor Supply the other day when I was getting some 80/90. As to the level normally you fill to the level of the filler plug on the left side. It probably won't hurt to run it a little low. Probably you should get a repair manual if you don't have one at at some point plan on replacing the seals though.
