I am restoring a B1. It got a few holes blown into it when sand blasting. What kind of a replacement could I find for it? Any help would be appreciated.

Looks to be a Briggs engine and the tank looks similar to what Briggs mounted directly to their engines in that era.

If you would care to measure it and post the dimensions it may be possible to match it up to a Briggs tank that someone may have a good used version of, or maybe it would match a Briggs tank that could still be found new.

Try asking in the Garden Tractors Forum down below on the index for this site. There might be someone on the forum that would not happen to read you post up here.

Also you could try the Garden tractors forum on the Unofficial Allis dot com site. There are some folks who restore them over there.

In case there is a question the B1 is a Simplicity built AC garden tractor.

I have a. 'B' to restore here in uk and both tanks are Full of holes so I intend making a complete tank for gasoline which will be fairly straight forward , for the main tank I am going to put a smaller tank inside which will be made from an old stainless steel sink

Yes thought about that too. Was hoping maybe to find a plastic one in the meantime if no one has a spare. Found one but it had more rust inside it than the titanic. Lol. I like have spent a lot of time with the carburetor apart I think. Uggg been looking online but hard to search for the size they want a part number. Well Being a 1961 or 1962 arent too many of the the old parts books left.

My 1947 Farmall Cubs gas tank is really bad so I have a riding lawn mower gas tank strapped to the Cubs gas tank and run it with it. Doesn't look right but works just fine

Those old B series tanks are getting very hard to find. You may have to try to have yours repaired.

Depending on how bad the tank is it could be fixed. Did you check eBay to see if there is any used ones?

Today's Featured Article - Seeing an Old Friend - by Joe Evans. Dad had a concrete contracting business starting in 1960. One of his first pieces of equipment was a Ferguson TO-35 with a Davis loader. Dad replaced the TO-35 with a MF 202 Workbull, essentially an industrialized Ferguson 35 I am told. Dad bought the 202 new in 1962, and I recall quite clearly going to the dealer with him to sign for it. ... [Read Article]
