B Left and Right Plows

Neighbor has a set of left and right plows that came off an Allis Chalmers B. The tractor was recently sold and the buyer didn't want the plows. What is there is the two plows with coulters and jointers, a bracket that would mount under the belly of the tractor that the front of the plow beams attach to, and two C shaped brackets both with two bolts in them that I am guessing mounts to the back of the tractor.

It seems like something is missing to raise and lower the plows but I am a JD guy and have no idea what to look for in the barn. Trying to figure out if everything is there and if not what else is needed. They do plan on putting these up for sale - just trying to help them out. Thanks.

If someone has a picture it would tell the story. The tractor needs two lift cylinders, a selector valve, and a split rockshaft,[as I remember]. Hopefully they didn't go with the tractor. They often do. There's also a lever which controls the belly bracket you mention.

If you list your email, I'll send you a pdf of the instruction and parts manual for the standard AC B-C two way plows. It covers both the manual and hydraulic lift arrangements.

As Bob said in these kind of deals there are very often parts left on the the tractor. Then the new tractor owner removes them and looses them. Thus the plows themselves are common but parts to mount and use them are not. An operators manual and parts book would be a big help to you. One more thing is beside the plows themselves there are no parts in common with a B or C mounted plow set up.

That seems to always be the case. To get one working snowplow for a JD I owned at one point I had to buy 4 separate complete plows all of which were missing parts.

I have confirmed the mounting brackets for the back of the tractor left with the tractor. The new owner is a neighbor that is unfriendly to most so getting them back is probably not a thing.

It might be best to sell parts off of these as I am sure someone can use the moldboards and some of the linkages.

If they are to be parted out. Id be interested in any of the linkages that you may still have.
I have run into the problem you mentioned, Ive been collecting parts for a double plow set up for a couple years now, cant ever find a whole complete set with everything I need, so I have been buying parts as I find them. I would be very interested in any of the linkages that you may have, or maybe the whole setup if your not to far away, but the different brackets and linkages are the main thing that I need. Let me know if you do decide to sell parts from it, as I would be interested.
Thanks
