So my tired old d15 started leaking coolant around number 2 liner so I ordered a kit. On removing these liners, HOW DO I? I was under the impression I could just tap them upward and out, this no longer seems the case!! Any help is appreciated

Engine still in the tractor?? If it is you can take a piece of 2X4 and cut it so it fits under the sleeve and then take another piece of 2X4 holding it up on top of a bottle jack and jack it up and the sleeve is very likely to pop right out. BTDT a number of times

The absolute FIRST thing you do is place a piece of tape over the oil hole on the crankshaft to keep dirt out !!! If you are trying to save the sleeve, you'd better use wood and they take some really good hits with a 4 lb hammer to get them to move.

I have a flat plate turned to the OD of the cylinder that i set on the bottom.... have a 1/2 inch all thread up thru the cylinder with a cross bar on top setting up an inch off the deck... just screw the all thread and it pops up.
