7060 Tranny Problem

Over a year ago my 7060 transmission seized up in high range and will only move low range. It will cost what the tractor is worth to fix ,but I'm still
tempted due to it's great condition otherwise. Dr Allis, can I run it in low range for field work. Man at my dealer said possibly. I would appreciate your
expert opinion. Thank You. Rick
 
I don't remember the description of the problem. Is it in the Power Director clutch, where stepping on the buttons don't change the ground speed?? Yeah, I'd use it. Or is in in the range transmission where the tractor will actually move in neutral ?? I'd still probably use it.
