WD45 Sediment Bowl

Howdy,what i usually do is put the screen up in the top then the gasket tucked up in there ontop of screen then the glass. hope this helps.
 
Not there looking at your particular parts, but usually the gasket gets stuck up inside the base, the screen goes up on next, then the bowl. The bowl is recessed to let the screen rest in it so the gasket seals the outer edge of the bowl.
 
I agree with what you said. screen goes in recess on glass bowel and when you clean & empty the bowel, screen can
also be cleaned without messing with the gasket. I used to have some of the screens with a plastic rim around them
and wish they still sold them. They last forever and much more durable to handle and fit the recess perfect/ Cleddy
 
EVERY need sediment bowl assembly I buy has the screen at the top then the gasket then the bowl

I guess every brand new sediment bowl assembly I have gotten is assembled wrong then
 
I know what you are saying have noticed that too. Sometimes when I buy a new screen and gasket the screen is so wimpy that it is just easier to put it on top and hopefully the hole in the center fits good enough to center everything up. The quality of new sediment bowls from the Farm supply stores leave a little to be desired but if they shut off good -better than old wore out one?? New cheap leaky ones g back to the store.Cleddy
