AC model 90 All Crop Combine

Does anyone have experience using a 90 All crop? What are the maintenance issues? How easy to clean
between crops? Our use would be as a plot machine used in native grasses.
We had a all crop in the early 50, but I never ran it only greased it.
thanks Bill

I have one I got that needed a lot work still does
I would recommend this not seeing yours .
Get a book for combine and read it over .
First off the the header for cutting low has to be in excellent condition , theknife and rock guard leaders must precisely matched for optimum cutting. If not the head will vibrate and break the structure frame. Like mine . The knife will push back and lift and gon on top of the rock guards.
How slow is your tractor land speed ? For birdsfoot trefoils your need to be 1.5 mph at 540 pto speed , best would ihc hydro transmission.
Next is cylinder condition ,rubber grain strippers need to be adjusted to the correct concave distance for the grain , new ones runn ya over 600 .
The cylinder sheet metal needs to be rust hole free or youll lose a lot of crop. You can get new ones fro all crop harvesting in pa .
Elevator chain needs adjustment, not to light or loose ,.
Do you have all the seed screens for gleaning? Those are hard to come by.
Do you have the scour cleaner, if so check the screen for rusted out holes.
The B 5/8 belt on the separate shaker straw walker needs adjustment ,and all pulley need to be in alignment, if not youll tear up that belt if it comes off
Make sure the main drive belt wasnt left tension theres a lever under the header, its a big v belt. That must be release when not in use.
Check all belts for damage .
I use shop vacuum to clean out grain for storage in grain hopper .
Check out pto drive to grain discharge make sure the door seals and auger frame and tube are not damage, they usally have dents in them from running into barn doors.
Go to all crop harvesters web site for book, parts and talk to Tom ,hes pretty very knowledgeable .
Dont expect to be trouble free first time in feed , the years of abuse will all show up at once so be patient. Have someone walk behind the combine first time looking for issues to stop you before something fails.
So much , I cant remember it all . Good luck . Dont get discouraged . It will take a couple of years to get it down pat if you have never run one ,Im still working on ours .
