Allis Chalmers planter question

I recently purchased an allis chalmers 2 row planter for planting small
food plots and dove fields. I was gonna try to order a manual off eBay
but am unsure of the model of these planter units. Can anyone help
me out? Also, what would you consider a fair price to be? I’m curious
as to what kinda deal I got. Everything seems to be in good working
condition and exceptionally solid for its age. Thanks in advance

70-series units. Those are later model because of the fiberglass hoppers. Older units were a round steel can. Manual is the same settings for both. Hope you got seed plates with them ??

I think 72 or 74 units. But like Dr Allis says 70 series will be the book you need. If you need any different sprockets to change the population post back as I have a bunch. We used AC 600 and 333 planters for years before changing to Deere. Tom

Watch the upper knee bolt. They work loose and gouge the fiberglass hoppers. Clean and oil the little roller in the seed plate and you will love it.

I sold one last year didn't look as good as that one but worked also a 2 row for $450.
