Silver on the rims. Persian orange #1 on the centers, which is the same as the hoods, fenders, chassis.

I assume your just talking about the rears?
On mine the front rims are also silver with
orange center but I assumed someone just
repainted it that way so I made the the
front rims solid orange. (Series I)

I just did some looking. The only color picture I can find of an early version is a D14. It has the Allis Chalmers stenciled on the hood, and the oval D14 on the side panel. It has orange front wheels, with silver front rims. I had thought they started with all orange front wheels/rims. But now I don't know. By 1959 the AC on the hood was now a panel, and the oval was gone, and every tractor in the picture has orange wheels and silver rims[front].

i have never seen a factory silver front rim,the rears are silver with orange centers(spin outs). I sure would not say anyone here is wrong because you can never say never say never when trying to say what a factory did on any one day 50 years ago.

Check out the photo of a tricycle D17 being tested at Nebraska straight from the factory in November of 1957. Then you can say you saw one with silver front rims.

Picture of D17 submitted for testing at Nebraska in November 1957 showed orange centers and silver rims front and rear.
