D17 loader won't go down with load

I recently mounted a loader on the D17. I got myself in a predicament twice lifting machinery, when I lift the heavy equipment it won't go down. Without a heavy load it lowers slowly. At first I thought the pivot points were binding, but today I loosened the coupler fitting and let it drain into a 5 gallon pail to lower it so it must be something with the tractor hydraulics. It's a series I with trip bucket, so hydraulics are prabably like a WD.

You probably have a coupler problem where the loader hose connects to the tractor coupler. Wrong hose end or worn out coupler. The hydraulic lever should be able to be pulled below horizontal if needed. Will it go that far ??

Thanks Dr. Allis, I just replaced the
coupler on tractor and the tip on hose and
problem seems to be resolved.

Jhncp, thanks so much for posting back with the "fix".

Sometimes it's the LITTLE things that cause BIG problems!
