Monroe seat on a WC?

Does anyone have one? Got one years ago and finally getting around to putting it on and I think I may be missing something. Do I need a spacer to go under the channel frame of the seat base? Bolt hole does not line up with the original if I try to set it down where the original spring seat mounted. A picture of one mounted would be great, thanks, Mike

mine has a steel spacer welded to it that made it fit, poor picture, sorry! It's now mounted as a buddy seat

I think this is what you have.
It is what I have. A previous owner had done this, so I have no idea other than the pictures.

This is mine, I bought it from the original owner and am sure that old man had the dealer install it. Only one bolt holding it plus the bracket to the center post on my 37 unstyled.

Thanks for the picture, that is what my seat looks like. Any chance you could get a pic from the side or look and see if there is some sort of spacer

Here you go, I took pictures of both sides and yes that filler piece appears to be 3/4 thick. The last picture is of the other side, Id guess that its a 1/2 bolt.
