Everyone is selling the 3 7/16" piston kits. Original C was 3 3/8". I prefer DJS. Naturally, the hosts here prefer their own store.

James I will try to help you. I have a 1950 Allis Chalmers C that I did an engine overhaul on about 2 years ago. I am retired and was not a mechanic in my working life. I did grow up on a farm and so I know which end of wrench to hold onto. The answer to your question of who is DJS. It is a retailer of parts for antique tractors, mostly Allis Chalmers located in Stockbridge MI. Their web site is DJS Tractors. First I recommend that you get a copy of a DVD titled "Engine rebuild for Allis Chalmers tractors B, C, and CA." I think Steiner has these. By Steiner I mean external_link,com. That DVD takes you step by step through the complete process. I bought all of the parts for the over haul from Steiner. The total cost was over $600.00. You need to take the head to a machine shop to get the valve job. And you need to take the crank shaft to a machine shop to have the main and rod bearing journals ground down so that they are perfectly round. The machine shop will tell you what the new diameters are so you can order the correct size of replacement bearings. The sleeves, pistons and rings come as a matched set so you do not have to size them yourself. You MUST use shims to correctly install the main and rod bearings. You will need to use plastigauge. You can get that at an auto parts store. I hope this helps. David.
