Look for some help/education on the inherited Allis Chalmers D15 Series II from my father in law who passed away this last year. He was not able really give me a whole lot of instruction on where the hydraulic fluid, differential fluid, oil are to filled. I think it has always just ran for him (his big quote on most things around the tractor and other farm things was "differed maintenance"....inherited it from his father.... so I am just wanting to hopefully keep it operational...have used it some with a grader and disc (had to modify the chain on the bell release because it was not releasing the implements). It stopped running last week but with a new battery and some start fluid it is going well now. My hope is that I can get it running with the old John Deere brush hog that is in the barn...(also need to figure out about where to grease on that) A couple questions I would appreciate help on. Where to replenish the various oils, is it best to keep a charger plugged into the battery while it sits for weeks at a time and any other helpful hints would be appreciated! thank you in a advance....!
