Power director detent handle broken

My old d15 has the linkage rod for the power director broken, also the spring to return its detent upwards seems to be failed as well.
The little thumb presser is there but the bottom of the rod is broken just above the set screw at bottom. I would like this to engage its nuetral detent while I learn how to operate a tractor. Is there a cheap fix or a replacement assy? How do you remove the entire handle? I tried backing out the big cone tip set screw at bottom, but seems like it might require a puller to remove entire handle?
Thanks all

Remove big screw at the bottom. Pull the lever clear back towards the seat and back and forth until it breaks free. Use WD40 all over it. Little allen screw on the neutral lock block will need a torch to warm it up probably stuck tight.
