I picked this up at auction today. 1947 B,
doesn't run but loose. Front tires are shot
the rears are like new, you can still read
the size on the tread bars and not
weathered. I was told it had been sitting
in a barn for about 10 years. Got it for
$600

Could be a fun little tractor & project - depending what you find is the reason for not running and what you discover inside the engine & drivetrain. Rear tires are probably worth the price. Enjoy!

I got this at an estate sale, it had been in a barn for the last 10 years. I don't think it will take much to get it going, it was parked when this lady's late husband passed and she recently passed so the heirs had an absolute sale of real estate and personal property. I really didn't need this tractor but I just had to save it from scrappers who were also bidding on it

Didn't you post this picture along with another one with a mower deck a while back? What happened to that one? Anyway, hope you get this one going with a minimum of problems. Looks like it might be missing a battery box.

I'd fill the cylinders with ATF and pour ATF down the exhaust and let it sit a week or 2

600 will be a good deal if it runs good. Lots of used and repro parts around for a B. Pretty handy tractors but ya really need to lose that seat, LOL

Yes I did, the one with the woods belly mower went for $725 and the mower was in very bad condition.

Yeah, that seat is going to be gone for sure! I'm sure it's comfortable but looks ridiculous.

I changed all the fluids, gave it a tune up and had it running today. It actually runs very good too.

Clutch & drivetrain drive out OK?

Everything seems to be fine, all the gears and pto works as they should. I will need to adjust the brakes

Extra nice fenders and really like that step,I'd try the seat out before taking it off.

Yes, the fenders are perfect. I plan to sell this tractor because I really didn't need it, I just bought it to save it from the scrap buyer who was also bidding on it.
