AC 615 Industrial front pump

Hard to find any info on this 615 Diesel 2nd Generation . I have the Industrial Shop manual and it does not show anything on the front mounted pump and loader and valves and nothing for the backhoe and related parts. So my front pump is dripping hyd oil and was wondering if anyone has seen this pump before? I know AC did not make their own pumps and so there are numbers stamped on the flange and there is a W emblem or maybe a M is all I see. It has a standard 2 bolt hole flange like Cessna pump. Also I was wondering if its a simple geared pump or a vane style . I looked it up on Tractor data as a 615 Industrial and it says that the different variants for this backhoe is the D15 Ag tractor and the 160 model. Its a big pump and was wondering if the 160's used the same pump if they came with a loader? My hyd repair guy says he has seen these before and can get parts but would rather find one used ? What info I did read somewhere said it was a big volume pump

It was not uncommon for each component to have its own manual, tractor loader, and hoe, or sometimes the tractor and loader together. So if you have a manual for the tractor alone it won't have the hoe or loader (and the pump is likely included in the loader and/or hoe manuals. You should be able to get it rebuilt or find an acceptable new replacement by comparing dimensions etc.

AC used variations of that pump on many models. Gear pump, made by Webster I believe. Easily re-buildable with seal/wear plate kits, as long as, the aluminum sections haven't been all ground out from pumping garbage. Maybe the sections are still available, I don't know. What I also don't know is if that exact pump was used on a farm tractor. It looks very much like the pump on the 6000 series.

I have that pump on my 615. It is a dual pump which sends 8.5 GPM directly to the swing cylinders, 15.5 GPM to the loader and then the 2 flows merge to operate the rest of the hoe at 24 GPM. It is built that way so that the swing is never starved for power. As I had posted earlier, I have both the hoe and the loader manuals. I rebuilt my pump many years ago but I do not recall the details.

It appears to be a pump very similar to what was used on a 170-180-185 farm tractor. I'll bet it uses the same seal kits, 70255947 and it will take two of these.

thanks for the info. My AC is also a 615 backhoe with loader . I think it is a Webster pump and there is a hydraulic repair shop who is also a Webster dealer not far from me who I dropped the pump off to last week . It has a drip from underneath the pump between 2 sections of the aluminum pump. Im waiting to see how much he wants to repair it first before I decide what to do as some people here are saying it looks like similar pumps AC used on other models. SO if its too expensive to repair I will be looking to find one off something else .I have the expensive shop manual for backhoe but it does not show anything about the attachments . is there a online parts manuals for AC like Ford and Case and INT has so I can look up parts ?

Look at my post from last Thursday above. I gave you a link to Minnpar's website where some of the AC industrial parts catalogs are.

The AC industrial equipment was merged with Fiat before being dropped, AGCO didn't keep it so those books are not on the AGCO site. Minnpar has some of the industrial catalogs available on their site to use and they sell parts.

I said it appears to be similar to the pumps used on certain farm tractors. It is NOT identical and a farm tractor pump will NOT interchange. I believe the internal seal kits to probably be the same and maybe a shaft seal and that is all. Everything else is different. No on-line look up that I know of. None of those tractors parts are listed under the AGCO website. they would be under the Fiat-Allis company, who is now New Holland ??

I don't know about any online information. I will look at my books and see what type of information is in them. Something interesting about the loader is the self leveling bucket which is done hydraulically. You may already be aware of it. My tractor is all apart with transmission problems. I have another 615 which is gas but only has a loader and 3 point hitch. The pump on that one is just a single which is about 16 GPM.
