AC 7020 shifting problems

After shifting my AC 7020 (power director) into Park I'm not able to shift it into high or low. The lever moves over to the hi-lo slot but won't engage in either. The gearshift seems to work ok.
Any suggestions? Floor and side of the shifting console have been removed.

Disconnect the small cable under the cab floor. Shift cab lever into NEUTRAL. Force the shift lever under the cab floor towards the right rear wheel. Now, try and shift into high and then low. Still doesn't work?? Then, I guess you'll need to remove the cover to the rear end and the right fuel tank and then the shifting mechanism to see what has happened.
