Rear Wheel Weights- D17

A number of different weights will bolt up on the wheels some original some not.Where are you located might be some people here that have weights to sell, as it be better to find them local to you as shipping would be pretty expensive.

"Pie"/sectional weights might be a challenge to find. WD/WD45 weights would be the thing to look/advertise for. You can stack them out as far out as you need for serious weight. I have a 175 with a pair of, I think, a later style weight. They don't amount to much, for the width that they take up, so I don't know what the idea was.

For an easy way to try just put a wanted ad on Craigslist, never know what people have lying around and any local buy/sell papers. Also auctions are a good place to find weights, last year I bought a parts D17 with a complete set of pie weights for $75 at an auction.

Series 1 and 2 take the same weights as a WD/WD45. Series 3 and 4 take a different weight. The wheel centers are different between the old and new.

My Series II DC-17 came with what I believe are factory "pie" weights and they fit perfectly.
The wheel centers on my D-17 are the same as those on the WD/WD-45 as far as I can tell.
The casting number on the weights is AM-4493.
There is another style "pie" weight with a casting #AM-4493-1 which seems to be the same except for an added "nub" which may be there to enable "stacking" them.

BTW, there are four "sections" of pie weights for each wheel and each section weighs 75 lbs.......300 lbs per wheel.
The standard one-piece WD-45 weights, as I recall, weigh only about 125 lbs. each.
There is another one-piece A-C rear wheel weight which weighs 375 lbs.
I have never seen a pair (or even one) of these and the only reason I know they exist is that they are shown in the manual for the A-C (Oxnard) rear blade attachment.
Must be fun installing one of those! LOL

I saw a d-17 with all hyd loader and cab for $1800 last week. It was sold before I could look at it.
