WC Knoedler Seat Parts

I finished restoring my Grandpa's 1938 WC. He upgraded the seat over the years with what I found to be a Knoedler Flow-Ting Seat meant for WC tractors. After researching I am understanding it is an aftermarket seat that the Knoedler company made for many makes and models.

The shock absorber is worn out. I would like to find a replacement as I want to keep the seat that Grandpa put on his tractor. I know it is not original to a 1938 WC, but it is what Grandpa used. Does anyone out there know where I could find a replacement part? Any good sources? Again I am looking for the shock absorber.

Attached are pictures of the seat dis-assembled and re-assembled along with before and after pics of the tractor. Thank you in advance.

Beautiful job on the old girl!

Brought back a ton of memories! My Dad bought his first tractor from his neighbor. It was an unstyled WC, maybe a '37. He never sold it until he sold his last farm. Being the oldest son, I was the only one of the boys that was strong enough to steer it with the monster two row cultivator he had for it, so it became my summer tractor. I was also the only one that could crank it to start it (no electrics on it). It did have the power lift for the cultivator. After the first summer of driving the old girl, I had arms!!

Thank you for posting!!

It your tractor so seat is "Right" but I don't think that Pan seat goes with Knoedler or Allis-Chalmers. I had one like it on a John Deere "H"and was fine with it until someone told me it came off a real old Horse draw Implement. I think it was off a Champion planter so I took it off and put it with my other antiques. If wrong I don't mind being corrected?Cleddy

Take the shock out of the spring assembly and take to a good auto parts store. They can match the specs to a modern shock. If they can't go to another store. For example I have 3 NAPA's within an hour. One can take care of this in 5 minutes, the other two will act bewildered and ask irrelevant questions.
