I have an Allis Chambers with hand brakes and electrical starter, I was told it was a 1954 WC, but after checking I don't believe that's correct.
I found a number 4887-B-54 or 4487-8-54 can,t tell if it is a B or an 8(quoted from post at 18:29:43 07/01/20) Hand brakes and electric start would either be a WC or B. Is it narrow front with c channel frame rails? That'd be a WC. Serial number is on the back of the differential housing above the PTO.

Thank you this is very helpful my tractor has the narrow front end, does that rule out the B model tractors...?(quoted from post at 20:05:02 07/01/20)
1948 was the last the WC was made, not many was produced. The WD replaced the WC in 1948.

hank you(quoted from post at 20:03:26 07/02/20) That WC tractor has the mounting brackets on it for a WD cultivator.

Find the serial number and be sure of which one it is. Look at the rear of the differential and near the shifter. The serial number should be in one of those locations and will begin with the model letters.
(quoted from post at 12:01:44 07/13/20) what about the electric start...?
I thought 39 was the first year for electric start...?
Could be, the wheels look at lot newer than other 33's I've seen on here.(quoted from post at 12:10:49 07/13/20)(quoted from post at 12:01:44 07/13/20) what about the electric start...?

Electric start became standard in 1939, it was optional before that, from info I've seen There is also a possibility you may have a "mutt", having parts from two or more tractors combined. A lot can happen in 86 years.
