AC 7020 trans. Shifting

I put my 7020 in park and now it won't go into the high/low range on the the shift lever (not the foot buttons). It doesn't seem to be in park, either, just in neutral. Any suggestions?

I could diagnose it much better if I was sitting in the seat. I imagine you'll need to slide the seat all the way back and remove the floor mat and floor plate to be able to see what is and isn't going on. There are two shifting cables. The large cable is for movement forwards and rearwards. The small diameter cable is for the side to side movement. This side to side movement is when the lever in the cab is in the neutral location. If the small cable is so stiff it can't allow the lever to move into the LOW-N-HIGH gate, that is probably the problem. With the floorboard out you should be able to force the short shift lever on top of the rear end over and then get LOW and HIGH to work. Replacement of either cable will require removing of the side of the shift lever console in the cab. Do not leave the side cover off of the console as it helps in the structure solidness of the console.

The lever is moving into the the hi/low slot (gate) but won't move forward or backward enough to engage either hi or low. . It does move back and forth
all the way in the park slot (gate) but I'm not certain when it's in Park that it's actually not still freewheeling. Any suggestions?

You haven't taken the floor out of the cab, have you ?? After you get the floor removed, locate the short gearshift under the floor and with the lever in the cab in NEUTRAL, force the short lever under the cab out towards the right rear wheel. Then see if it will shift into LOW and HIGH.
