Allis Chalmers 303 square baler

Wondering if anyone can help with a AC 303 square baler hay pickup problem. I just recently bought this baler. I had to re-time a few things, but ran about 60 bales through it and never missed a tie. Was working great. Now one of the pickup bars keeps flipping so that the tines arent visible and it quits feeding the hay into the baler. I cant seem to figure out why this is happening. From what I can tell it has to be something on the clutch side of the pickup. But I'm at a loss. Thank you for any help. Andrew

Look for a bearing missing on the end that the bar runs in the cam track.

Look for a bearing that runs on a bar on a track. Im sorry I have no clue where this is or what your talking about. Owner said it baled hay 2 weeks ago.

I've never worked on one either, but I'd be looking from the rear underneath the baler to see inside of the hoops that the pickup fingers run thru. On one end there is some sort of track that positions the fingers. Obviously you have a problem with the one bar. It may have worked fine yesterday, but anything mechanical can break. So on one end or the other is where your problem is. You might have to remove an end hoop to make the repair or see what is going on. All balers have similar design on the pickup. SIMILAR, not identical. Use AGCOPARTS.com to find parts and cut-away pictures. Sign in as GUEST on the lower part of the Home page. Type in 302 303 and it will come up as 302 303 442-444 square baler. Go to pages 28 thru 34 and look at item #2 on page 30 for where I think your problem is. Looks like it may be on the drive side which is on the right? when going forward ??
