D17 SERIES IV DIESEL

can anyone give me a crash course on the hydraulics for implements. when i hook my discs up to where my dad remembers the up/down for discs
is controlled by the dump and curl for the bucket. there is another set of lines but i can not get pressure released to try in those
hydraulic ports. also any help on the traction booster and position control lever. seems these two levers(dont know which one) are connected
to the down on the three point hitch. i have read the operators manual but am still a little confused on these two issues. i will provide
pictures. i am hooked up to the female fitting with the hoses on the left of the picture with the discs. these are the ones run by the dump/curl of bucket the others on
the right side(side with the hydraulics levers and traction booster) are the ones i can not conect to. any help is greatly appreciated.

The front two short hydraulic levers are for your outlets on the back of the tractor. Left outlets are for lifting (pull control levers back) and right outlets are for lowering (push control levers forward). Fully forward is FLOAT position on the control levers. To connect any hose to the rear of the tractor you want the control levers in FLOAT and even better, shut off the engine. Are you sure the hoses you are attempting to connect are the right style/brand of tip for the couplers on the tractor ???? The tall lever on the front bank is for the hitch. Rear is UP, in the middle is HOLD and forward is slow lower and fast lower. The position control and Traction Booster levers are to be fully FORWARD when not in use. I see no need for you to even worry about using them and if you do, they might be rusted up solid and unable to work as designed, SO LEAVE THEM ALONE. If you cannot get your hitch to lower (with a load and engine OFF)by moving the tall front lever fully forward, something is stuck on the linkage to the TBoost and Pos cntrl levers.

ten four. so the female hydraulic fittings on the right of the picture behind the levers are for what exactly??? i had discs hooked up to the
female fittings on the left of the pic the discs went up and down fine. just thought it was odd that it would be controlled by the bucket
dump and curl. i figured this would be controlled by the furthest right lever (the three point hitch lever).traction booster seems to be fine
and not seized i have been spraying diesel fuel on all linkages for last few months before reefing on everything i have to fine tune more but
i know one of these two levers has something to do with three point hitch going down (whether suppose to or not i dont know) because i moved
one and the hitch worked fine. broke the brake rod somehow, guessing from being so far out of adjustment. thanks again for taking the time to
reply.

THE TWO SHORT LEVERS ON THE FRONT BANK OPERATE THE COUPLERS AT THE REAR OF THE TRACTOR. THE LEFT LEVER GOES TO THE LEFT PAIR OF COUPLERS. THE RIGHT LEVER GOES TO THE RIGHT SET OF COUPLERS. THE TALL LEVER GOES TO THE 3PT HITCH.
