I400 Odd noise

I have been working the tractor hard last cpl of weeks...lots of clearing in the woods and some grading as well...aside from it leaking from various hydraulic seals it has been a trooper. yesterday I did notice for the first time, while sitting in neutral or in gear with the clutch depressed, there is a new (grinding?) noise...and with that noise there is movement of the 'forward/reverse' shifter its a very rhythmic noise and the shifter "bounces" with it... thoughts?

Not good. If the noise goes away with your foot off of the clutch pedal I'd say the throw out bearing is failing. That is if you have described it correctly.

the noise does not go away foot on or off
the clutch. I will not be near the
tractor until tomorrow yo further
diagnose...perhaps I can post a video.

(quoted from post at 04:19:13 07/01/20) Might not have any clutch pedal free travel and would cause the throw out bearing to fail as Dr said.

Couldn't get it to do it again quiet as a mouse...well aside from all the other noise
