Help with year

I just bought an Allis Chalmers for the first time. This is my first time buying a tractor of any kind, so I am new to the tractor world. Any way, the tractor number is WC172302 and I was trying to find out what year it is so I know how to proceed in restoring it. I have it running and I already have her working the road and some of the field. But I don't know much about her so any help you can give would be much appreciated. Thanks

If you bring up "serial numbers" from the far left column, you will find that your tractor is a 1948 model, the final year of production.

thank you

What you want to do if you haven't already is get a set of manuals, operator, repair, and maybe even parts. The parts manual is good for seeing how the parts all fit
together even if you don't use it for the part nos. to order parts. Then at least inspect ALL the fluids, including the final drives, and lube all the lube points.

Thanks for the tip, I changed all the fluids and lubed what I could find but for some reason I never thought about picking up a parts manual. I was looking for the year so that I could get some of the other manuals. Thanks for the help, any other tips would be welcomed

The year doesn't matter much even between "styled" and "unstyled" tractors. Mechanically WCs are all about the same. The parts manual is usually the most expensive but
especially if you are new to the tractor or want to work on it it will be helpful.

Ok, this is probably going to sound dumb, what's "styled" and "unstyled" and how do I tell the difference?
