I have an oil leak underneath around some sort of a large coil spring. not sure what it is. looks as though there is a hyd lne going to it maybe from the hyd pump. needs some help. thanks and stay safe.

Well, you're going to have to clean things up and look a little closer to get the answer on that. There's a gasket to an oil pan just ahead of that coil spring that could be leaking. There's also the possibility that the Orings on the hand clutch lever or PTO lever are seeping and oil runs down to that area. There could be loose bolts that keep the tractor from falling in two that are loose in that split area at the instrument panel. As far as hydraulic lines, there would be one steel line for sure, but it would only leak when you are using the hydraulics to lift. There could be a second steel line close to it, if it has a Transport valve to the left of the seat. Where are you losing oil ?? You have THREE compartments: transmission/differential....hydraulic....power director clutch. Which one is losing oil ??

Brother put a loader from a d 17 on his WD45, had to get spacer plates made to get correct spacing to mount lift arms into mounting brackets.

Sounds to me like you need an Owners/Operators manual. The transmission/differential is the dipstick to the right of the gearshift. The Power Director clutch/pto gears are to the left of the gearshift and take a 7/8" wrench. The hydraulic system is under the gas tank on the right side of the torque housing.
