reason to remove wheel hub ?

So I cant seem to remove the spindle on the final drive with the manuals first option which is to hit the inside of the spindle with a hammer and drive the spindle with the wheel hub out and I assume its the [inner race of the Outer Bearing ] that is keeping from doing this? and that's because the backhoe frame is behind the inside access hole and cant get enough room to drive it out and I don't have a special very small hyd press to use so my next option according to manual is to use a puller on the outer side of the axle and pull the hub off the spindle and they have made a threaded hole for a puller. so then I assume the idea of the puller is to remove the outer wheel hub from the spindle so that the spindle can be removed thru the inner side? and does anyone have a picture of the type of puller I need to use ?

The hub and axle are one part. You remove the cap, capscrew and shims from the inside. Then remove the snap ring, or remove it from it's groove, then the axle/hub is removed to the outside. All the parts (snap ring, gear, spacer), will drop down as the axle is removed. Sometimes the inner bearing is tight on the axle and makes it difficult to pull the axle.
