I'm having a hard time finding a replacement water pump that will fit the pump pulley for my 1945 Allis C. Part #79016821 is supposed to work, but the flange is too wide to fit inside the pulley housing, and that seems to be the only one available. See the photo comparison below. Any ideas?

I replaced the water pump on my wd45 last fall and had a hard time to find a pump. you need to adjust the water pump pulley to fit the belt. check those hubs with a caliper to make sure they are the same. may need to fine tune it with a flapper disc. plus make sure its the same bolt pattern. why didn't you replace that rotten old hose with some new ones.

It should fit, you may have to rotate it as you fit it into the pully. If all else fails, use the grinder.

Today's Featured Article - Upgrading an Oliver Super 55 Electrical System - by Dennis Hawkins. My old Oliver Super 55 has been just sitting and rusting for several years now. I really hate to see a good tractor being treated that way, but not being able to start it without a 30 minute point filing ritual every time contributed to its demise. If it would just start when I turn the key, then I would use it more often. In addition to a bad case of old age, most of the tractor's original electrical system was simply too unreliable to keep. The main focus of this page is to show how I upgr ... [Read Article]
