Wd manifold studs

So decided it was about time to replace manifold and gaskets and studs on the wd.
Got old manifold off, started to take studs out got 5 of 6 out and last one broke off. Tomorrow will try and drill it out. My question is are all the threaded holes blind holes or are they through holes. Just want to make sure I dont drill to deep. Also when I removed the 5 all had antifreeze behind them is this ok?

The holes go through into the water jacket.
When replacing studs, the threads have to have
sealant applied to them.
I use Permatex #2.......probably better stuff out there today but I'm old and use what has worked for me for years.
