I've looked at a number of sites but still can't figure out the year. The actual number 109252. Can anyone give me some insight into the age. It's suppose to be a D10 Series III -Allis Chalmers. I trying to get the correct starter drive (bendix) also,,,it's bad.....

Year Starting Serial Number
1959 1001
1960 1950
1961 2801
1962 4511
1963 6801
1964 7675
1965 9204
1966 9486
1967 9795
The Serial Number is located at front of torque housing on left side

Provided 109252 is the # stamped in the torque tube, I think the 10 is from the the model, the 9252 the SN. So 1965. So my guess is this
one is your Bendix:
D10 1961 and later bendix

Just in case someone else comes across this thread, I'll add this to David's excellent serial number description above. Here is a photo of where the serial number is punched onto the upper left side of the torque tube as mentioned. The engine number is also prominent here on the engine flange, but that would not be true on all G-149 engines.

I had a question with my tractor as well. Which of these two numbers is the serial number? I'm thinking the D10 1810 ?
