There's at least a dozen other AC models like that also. The general rule was they started at 1001 after the WD series.

Interesting. I should have checked some other lists. I thought it was strange they stated with such an odd number.

Production started in July of 1967 with s/n being 1001. Anything built in 1967 wasn't listed because it was a partial yr run.

You won't find that individual number. You will find it in a range of numbers for a year. https://www.yesterdaystractors.com/cgi-bin/snlookup.cgi?mf=AC&md=170

1968 production started with tractor #2721 and the last one built in 68 was 5373. Yours falls in that range, so it's a 68. I'll guess the D on the end makes it a diesel.

Maybe someone will post a picture- "worth a thousand words!" The forward flange of the torque housing, on the upper left side. There should be numbers stamped in there. They can be difficult to make out.

Assuming you got those numbers from a receipt, or old paperwork! Do you mean you can't find the number listed anywhere?
