Could somebody please Supply me with compression for a 433ti orange engine in a gleaner f2 combine. It seems to be a bit low on power so I want to check compression.

Thanks
Dennis

DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT RUNNING A COMPRESSION TEST. If it starts and runs on all four cylinders, compression isn't the problem. To properly diagnose a HP complaint, you need to have a 30 psi pressure gauge connected to the intake manifold and measure the boost pressure under load. It should be 14 psi or more if I remember correctly. Low HP complaints are 99% of the time a lack of fuel problem, starting with a plugged sediment bowl inlet, which requires removing the sediment bowl base from the combine to clean it. You start removing those injectors that have been in the head since 1978 and you will have nothing but problems !!!!

Another possibility to the low HP complaint can be related to the injection pump needing to be freshened up. You don't say how many hours are on the engine or what year it is, but I assume it is somewhere from 1977 to 1982. The injection pump has an internal rubber damper ring on the governor weight assembly that deteriorates with time. When it starts to fall apart, it will eventually begin to plug the outlet valve, located on the top cover of the injection pump. The usual complaint for it will be the engine run fine and then slowly loses RPM's and then dies. Wait a minute or two and it will fire right back up and run......for awhile, and then do it again. This is a possibility and again it is fuel related, not compression related. It could be time for an injection pump overhaul. I can tell you how to determine that, but until you respond to my posts, why bother.
