Allis C rebuild

I was wondering if you guys/gals have any opinion on installing the over bore sleeves in the C engine. I've been looking at different parts for my tractor, and going from a standard bore of 3 3/8" to 3 7/16" over bore might give a little more power.
I am going to install the snow plow blade that was on my Dads B on this C, once I get the wide front end on it. The blade 70" wide and about 24" high. With weights and chains on, it can be a work out if you get enough traction. My Dad had weights, chains, and fluid in the rear tires. We plowed snow for the entire neighbor hood, especially the old folks and widows. I'm looking forward to getting this Allis C set up and useful as a back up for my big tractor. Growing up with the Allis B, I have great memories of that little tractor.

Look at the compression ratio of them. Often the cheap overbore kits have low or very low compression from the original. I'm not sure you have a choice anymore as to pistons in kits. Without trying to piece one together using D14 pistions or something.

Anytime you do something like a rebuild one has to look at the big picture. If over bore sleeve lower compression your going back wards. So you have to look at all the specs. before buy parts

The B's and C's as original have all the power you will ever need to do way you will most likely use it. As you stated it will be about added weight. The over bore kit will be the easiest to find and will be just fine. Go for it!

I was looking to overhaul my c as well.It
has a 72" woods belly mower.I am also
looking at 3 7/16" aluminum pistons.I am
not seeing alot of options.
