170 allis chalmers SCV valve

Depends on what you consider to be "hard". The entire valve stack console has to be removed and set on one end. All three of the existing tie bolts must be swapped for longer ones. If I was doing it, I would at least reseal every section in-between valves so it doesn't leak when you get done. You will have to source parts from a salvage yard including the extra lines and the existing lines that will now be too long or short. Time-wise you'd be better off buying an existing 3-valve stack with the lines and swapping the whole assembly.

Not too hard. I have sold a few "kits" of used parts to add a second hyd remote to a 170 and 180. You will need a section of remote valve, the 3 longer threaded rods, the lever to operate the remote, the rod that goes between the lever and valve, the 2 lines that go from the valve to the bracket behind the seat, and of course a pair of couplers too. And be sure to re seal the whole valve stack (just o-rings) like the Dr said, you don't want to take it apart again.
