is it possible to make a wd45 have close to 70 horsepower with the same block and head if so can someone tell me along with if it is possibly to hookup a turbo to one as well somehow.

What are your intended uses of this 45 HP tractor that now has 70 HP ?? Yes, it certainly can be done, if your pocketbook is large enough. A turbocharger will require using very high octane gas all the time and I don't feel is a good idea. Connecting rods are kind of light for a turbo, altho I do know of at least one that has been done like that. Keystone turbos will sell you a "kit", and then when it doesn't work, they don't know who you are. If you are thinking of tractor pulling it, a turbo will see to it you won't get to pull for competition, only exhibition. Raising the compression to 8.0 to 1 (a 170 motor kit) and using a modified D-19 carburetor and D-17 governor spring will get you to the 70 HP mark. A 175 grind on your camshaft will get you a few more HP. All these changes will run on 87 or 89 octane gas.The only thing you can do without tearing down the engine is the D-19 carb that has been made to fit your engine.

It can be worked over/modified to fit your manifold and be made compatible with your governor linkage.
