Allis B manifold studs

None of the heads I have worked on was drilled into water. I suppose someone could have drilled extra deep when removing a stud of something. When I rebuild a head I always run a tap to the bottom of the holes to make sure they are clean. I have changed manifolds without loosing any liquid also. I never run across one that had been drilled into water.

My error as well, based on WD and D14s with wet holes, I run into. Good to know for the future. Thank you for the correction Dick L.

(quoted from post at 06:34:55 08/14/19) So if you remember for sure a D14 with wet holes, it's not the engine size, but the head type which is the difference!

I am sure I had at least a couple wet holes in each of the ones here I have changed manifolds on.
