WC Wide Front

Hello. There is a 1939 WC for sale in my area. It is listed as having a original wide front. I think it might be home made. But I have heard of a over the counter one that was maybe available from Allis later on. Maybe this is one of them. Just looking for some opinions. I also has a neat after market hand clutch as well. Thanks

The wide front is an AC, three bolt, commonly used on WD tractors (4 bolt was common on the WD45). This was factory correct for 1947 and 1948 WC tractors. WD came out in 1948. If this tractor had an original AC wide front, it would be the cast iron one, which is rare and valuable. Growing up, a neighbor had one, and also the hand clutch to provide live pto. That was an aftermarket item,

Very interesting axle very similar to a WD wide front axle except it is welded solid and not adjustable. Also the spindles are different from the WD axles.Appears to have the holes where the bolts go thru welded up closed. It'd be a neat axle on a WC regardless factory or shop built/modified.
