Hey guy I need some help on my 210 compact Massey tractor it is the same as an allis 5020 made by hinomoto It has a s126 toyosha two cylinder diesel engine. With a Kiki pump I parked it in the shed for the winter Brought it into my shop for a service and now it sputters when reved up Runs fine at low rpm but once over half to three quarter throttle it spits sputters

I have changed the fuel filters and tightend all hose clamps thinking maybe it was sucking air Also rigged up a funnel full of fuel straight on to the fuel line that goes directly to the pump To eliminate the fuel tank filter and fuel lines from the tank to the pump and still sputters So Im thinking it has to be from the pump to the injector is my issue or possibly a pump setting which hasnt been touched ever so I dont think it would be Any help at all would be great there is not much info out there or parts for these awesome tractors Mine is mint and would love to get it running awesome again

Black smoke too? Though I'm not usually not a fan of the various kinds of "mouse milk" fuel additives available, you might try some injector cleaner in your Diesel fuel. See if you can get her warmed up good and under a good load. Worth a try

Did you loosen the fuel line on the injector to purge all the air. My 5020 will not run after changing a fuel filter or running out of fuel until I blead the air at the pump and some times loosen the fuel line at the injector.

A little black possibly buy mostly blueish white smoke I just brought it in to weld the cracks in the fenders touch up some paint and Change oil It was minus 30 Celsius when I brought it in the shop so I only let it idle into shop Im almost wondering if its water in the fuel from condensation I did an oil change then When I started it up i noticed it so then I changed fuel filter Spun it off filled new filter with fuel and span it back on and she cranked a bit but started spit and spat for few seconds then leveled into a perfect idle it only sputters when reved up

Even though you filled the fuel filter you still let air into the system between the fuel filter and the pump. You wouldn't have air at the pump until you pumped the fuel out of the lines between the air bubble and the pump. Normally after running out of fuel or a filter change after I blead the air out of the pump and it starts it will run at speed and slow down to almost stop and speed back up until all air is out. I set it about 3/4 throttle and go and do something else for a few minutes and let it do its thing. You can lift the hood and loosen the lines and bleed what air is causing the sputter at the injectors. With my loader on it is to much bother for me. When I bought mine new the dealer said what ever you do don't run it out of fuel because these are a "B" to get started. I have two now to forget to check the fuel on.

The one I just bought this winter has cracked fenders with only a little over 200 hours. The one I bought new has close to 2400 hours and no cracks in the fenders.

You should have a bleeder screw on the pump. Crack it with the engine off and see if you get air bubbles. Make sure you tighten it before starting the engine or it will suck in air. If it has the same pump as the 5020 you might want to check the oil in the pump. If it is the same it does not get oil from the engine.

Tks dick L Ill give her a try today and see Yes it has the same pump as the 5020 I do know what you mean about the oil in the pump Ill just change that too while Im at it

Hey guys so i drain fuel today Took filter off drained and put back on I also gave it a of shot of air back into the tank incase something was blocking the hole in the tank put new fuel in with a diesel additive for cleaning injectors and pump I changed the oil in the pump there was only a couple drops come out I filled it ran it and changed the pump oil 3 times until it come out clean oil also put a tiny bit sea foam in with the pump oil every time to try and clean it out thinking maybe the governor in the pumps sticking it might help But still no luck its been running outside my shop now for the last 4 hours around half throttle Puring like a kitten but I go out there every now and again rev it full throttle same thing sputter but now that is outside and in bright day light its definitely blue smoke from exhaust

I never had that problem! Does sound like a pump problem. Air has always caused mine to sputter and die and have to be restarted and bleed more air bubbles out. Or sometimes slow way down and speed back up.

I hooked it up to a box scraper after I had sent that last message and worked it under load and it seemed to work fine under load so now Im almost wondering if it was over reving when throttled right up with no load on it. my tach cables missing and the tach is broken. Do you know where a guy can find parts for these things. Im going to use a digital laser tach tool to find out where its reving it should be 2500 rpm at full throttle right. If its over reving thats asimple fix I can just adjust the linkage so the lever cant go anymore

When was the last time the fuel filter was changed? You said you took it off but it sounds like you put the same one back on. Is it sucking air around the filter gasket?

I figured it out thanks for the help everyone but some how the timing was off. Lossened the pump bolts and rotated it until it ran perfect the bolts were not very tight and the injector lines pull the pump counterclockwise so I rotated it clockwise about quarter of and inch so my timing marks were lined up tighten the bolts and it has never ran better
