Ca front crank seal

So I am fixing up a CA and the crank in the original engine is smooth were the seal runs and it had a lip type seal. But that crank is no good. My donor engine has a good crank but it has the spiral groove on it were the old seal was. That seal looked like it was made of cork. My gasket kit that I got from YT here has a lip seal and another seal that has felt and a lip seal. I don't think the lip type seal would work at all with the spiral groove in the crank. But the seal with the felt and lip seal is a larger diameter and won't fit into either of my timing gear covers. Should I get a speedy sleeve or have one of the covers bored out?

The spiral groove will eventually tear up a vinyl seal. The solution is to put a Speedy Sleeve over the crank spiral so the new seal rides on the sleeve,
