82S Mower on WD45

I am running into a issue with my AC 82S Mower. The outer shoe with the ledger plate is shot. I tried buying a new Holland brand new shoe but the bar is to thick for it. The old shoe was wore out causing the mower to plug up at the end. Does anyone have a outer shoe for sale with the ledger plate in for sale? I would send the check in the mail and pay for shipping.---adam
 
I have a bunch of Twin wheel drive mowers for parts might even have a NOS end.Couple questions though what type of end section are you using on your sickle assembly? To keep it from plugging you need to run a double or split section.Also do you have the slide on the end shoe to hold it up?
 
You can, after a fashion, rivet a new ledger plate to the end shoe. Although, I had to tack weld mine to keep it tight.
I did take a NH skid and adapt it to fit the AC shoe, and I have the skid dropped as far as it will go.

I did exactly as Bob did.
I never installed one of those split sections although I have been considering it.
With the hold downs adjusted properly and sharp sections, I rarely ever have a problem.
 
BTW, I have had a bigger problem with that special ledger plate on the inner shoe.
I had to devise a custom shim to bring it up where it meets the knife so it wouldn't "clog up".
It takes quite a lot of patience to get one of these mowers set up right but when you do it is a pleasure to use.
 
I like wise have had to amend that inner ledger plate holder.

I probably would have been just as far ahead to start with some flat stock, rather than starting with the NH skid, for the price of it!

I did put one of those knife-and-a-half's out on the end. It helped. My problem is I mow edges and ditches with this mower, so it's alternately a dozer, rock picker, wire cutter, brush cutter/chomper, you name it!
 
I do use a double split end section. It helps but the new Holland shoe doesn't line up. I would be interested buying one off of someone. my number is 7012024196. Otherwise I will have to cut up the new Holland shoe.
 
If he doesn't have 1, I know I have one on a mower out back. I do have quite a few used parts for those
mowers.
