Allis CA 3 point and hydraulic help questions

Any of you share pictures and information on the ca 3 point hitch? Surely some of you must have one. Also the hydraulic system far as hoses and the remote. Yes I am working on one.

CAs did not have 3 point hitches. Are you looking for info on the different aftermarket 3 point set ups available to add on, or info on the Allis Chalmers Snap Coupler and pin hitch set ups? What is on the tractor now? Would you share a photo the rear of the tractor for a starting point? Knowing what you have now and what you want will help people help you.

My CA has one remoter coupler for a single acting remote cylinder. I believe that was the common arrangement. Any hose and cylinder beyond that would be accessories. You can get hoses made at many locations. The CA, as most of the early ACs, runs a high pressure system (about 3200 psi). Regular double action cylinders will work as long as you don't "force" them when bottomed out. Put a vent plug in place of a hose on the side of the cylinder you don't use.

There are several sites with copies of a service manual on line you can download that may help if you don't have one. It covers several models (G, B, C, Ca).

Currently have parts of the snap coupler hitch and the 2 ca pistons and back lift arms. Yes looking at after market hitch. Also I understand the single acting remote situation.

You may know all the following: AC made an adapter that latched into the snap coupler and had the attachment point for the top link connection on the adapter. Those come available now and then. I attached a drawing of it. Some people have built their own.

All of the aftermarket kits are basically similar as I see it. There are differences in where and how they attach. I expect some will weigh in here on the ones they like best. There may be some used ones available. The YT store lists a kit as do most sites selling tractor parts.

My CA has a 3-point aftermarket hitch on it. My FIL bought it about 40 years ago so I don't remember the manufacturer plus it has been considerably modified over the years. It originally had a frame that pinned to the drawbar brackets for the lift arms to pin to, the drawbar and its bail had to be removed. Now the lift arms have regular 3 point pins in the brackets that hold the drawbar bail. The turnbuckles go between the rock shaft arms and lift arms. There are a couple ears welded in the center of the rockshaft for the top link to pin to. It is such that the drawbar stays in place and is useable with the 3 point arms in place. The 3 point parts will remove easily if we want to get the arms out of the way.

let me know if you need to see something specific. I'm in the process of reviving several of these. Three different wide front set ups and 4 different rear attachment set up.
