Allis-Chalmers on this farm

Since 1941 there has been at least one AC tractor on this farm and usually two. Dad augmented the team of horses with an AC model B in 1941. A new WD replaced the B and the horses in 1950. A wide front power steering WD-45 was added in the late 50s.
the 45 had weights galore and was the main horse for years. I got D-17s, series I, IV and III, another 45, a 170, a 175 with AC loader (should have kept that one), a 170 with loader. Sold the last AC summer before last thinking I'll find another one. I've been
kind of looking for a good 170 gas or 175 gas for over a year now and am realizing that they are like me getting kinda old. Tough trying to find a real good 42 year old tractor.

That sounds like a nice collection - the only AC I have is my D-14, but it gets more use than any other tractor I have. I'm getting a little old for manual steering, but it's still my favorite tractor.
I'd love to someday have a late D-15 and a D-17 series IV
