D17 Parts Manual Recommendation

Good Morning!
I?ve done some searching and reading for parts manuals. It would be a huge help if I could get some advice from some folks on this site. This is my first tractor so I?m not familiar with brands or manuals.

I?ve got a series 1 D17. It started having several issues just a few days after I bought it and a friend has offered to help me start working on it this winter. I need a manual that has a good deal of exploded views and parts.

Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!
 
Just go to agcopartsbooks.com and click on the "View Books" button next to Guest User. Select Agco Allis for the brand and type D17 in the serach box. You will get the same data as in a parts book. They have both the Series IV parts book and the one covering Series I thru III. HTH. Mike
 
I mis-read Skyhighballon's post. He gave you the website to view the parts book on line. The AGCO site where you can order the OEM AGCO Allis manuals is https://www.agcopubs.com/. I believe they have print, disc or down load options of the parts, service and operator's manuals.

This sites store has manuals for sale as well, reprints of the OEM manuals and the I&T aftermarket manuals. Where ever, and which ones, you decide to get make sure you choose the manuals right for your D17 series 1 and serial number.
 
I'll second Skyhigh. You can also buy reprints here. If you can find originals, they are better yet. The copies tend to look like a fax of a fax of a copy. Poor quality pictures.
