B engine locked up

Recently went to purchase a single plow with all parts to fit on a "B". Individual wouldn't sell the plow without including the "B" with a locked up engine. Brought everything home. Decided to work on it a little to see if it is worth restoring. It is a 1950. Suggestions on what to use to try and free the engine?

Would need more history before you could get any viable advise. Setting out side for a long time? Run without oil? run without water?

I personally have bought over a dozen set up B's and C's and I broke them all down into parts to see what I had to work with. It does not take long to disassemble if that is what is in your mind when you start.
An Afternoon Disassembly

most important was the exhaust pipe covered??? as with any stuck engine disassembly is the best thing to do .

Do a wick test and make sure the cylinders are not full of water etc. If there dry fill them with ATF and also pour as much ATF down the exhaust as you can. Put the plugs back in before pouring it down the exhaust. Then let it sit a week or so. Then pull the plugs out and set a good 12 volt battery in and use short fast taps on the starter button to see if it has freed up. I've done that to over 30 tractors that where locked up and only 2 or 3 did not free up

Take a Sunday afternoon and tear it down.
Then you will know what you are working with.
After that you can decide to fix it or send it to China.

I try to encourage people to not only take things apart but to think deep into why they designed and built things as they did at the time. How it might be changed some with todays tecknowlage to make even better as it is being repaired. I am pleased in those such as you that have developed a need to look deeper into your projects that is proven in the years of your posts over the years we have both been on this site. In my opinion and, I say my opinion, when an engine is stuck pouring in oil and rocking it for a month or more to get it to turn over has not taught the person a thing. Maybe a newbie to change spark plugs.
