AC 200 clutch slips

I have AC 200 with a Westendorf loader I use mainly for moving my rd bales. lately I noticed the clutch is slipping, if you play with the throttle it will start moving but not as strong as it use to.

Any adjustments? Suggestions?

Thanks, Jay

Make sure you have a MINIMUM of 2 inches of free-play in the foot clutch pedal (4 inches is better). I think you have Power Director issues, so I assume it is when the hand lever is in HIGH RANGE?? if so, you probably have worn linkage not fully stroking the valve spool. Does your Power Director lever have the toothed gate ??

DRAllis I will have to check if it slips in low range ( not sure slips is the correct description, if you throttle it up it doesn't start moving.)

Is there any adjustments? I purchased a shop manual for the 190 III I have, it should be the same I would think, its always better talking to someone about it.
Not sure on the Power Director? I will check on that also

Thanks jay

I have no idea if this will help at all, but you might be interested to know- I went out on a brand new 200 to find that there wasn't enough throw in that goofy quadrant,(what I believe DrAllis is referring to) to get it to hold in both low and high. I took the quadrant back to the shop and altered it, Then I could adjust the linkage so that low and high both worked.

I would bet he made the slot longer. I have ran into this issue with worn linkages on them. Guys want it fixed but do not want to pay to have all the pivots repaired. So you make the linkage move far enough for valve to stroke as far as it should.

Welded a little piece onto one edge of the slot(s), and cut out whatever I had to, to give the lever more throw. Basically as JDSeller says. This was a long time ago. Notice I said it was a brand new tractor. Couldn't blame that on worn linkage. This was the first AC tractor for this customer. Fortunately he was sharp enough to realize something wasn't right, and didn't run it until he ruined something. I was impressed with the customer. I was not impressed with what AC had done.
